About Sedmek

Sedmek has grown significantly since its founding in 1994, with dozens of photovoltaic, wind electric and solar thermal systems in operation across Western Canada and internationally. Sedmek also offers consulting services and instruction, please call us for details. We take pride in always offering quality work and services at a reasonable price and are never afraid to get our hands dirty, we even enjoy it on occasion!

Sedmek welcomed Tim in 2005 as a renewable energy designer and installer. Since completing his degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Saskatchewan, Tim has traveled and worked around the globe. As part of his travels, Tim undertook an internship in Appropriate Technology and Sustainable Development, which included time working in both New Brunswick and Nicaragua. Prior to moving to Calgary, Tim also worked in Saskatchewan in the renewable energy field.

David Kelly has been a regular speaker at the Solar Expo/Eco-Living Fair, and a guest lecturer at Mount Royal College's sustainable design program and the University of Calgary's Engineering programs. His credentials include a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Waterloo and professional accreditation through APEGGA. Married and a father of two, Dave's home is partially powered by 2000W of grid-tied solar power and uses solar thermal water heating.
